2016 3rd Time Section 9 Champs



With Lacrosse season right around the corner we have lots going on. Please let us know if you have any questions:


Thursday March 2nd: Mandatory Parent/player meeting from 6pm-8pm Intermediate School Auditorium. This year we have many items for sale please stop by the table in the lobby.


Saturday March 4th: Boys grades 3-5 clinic is being held at the HS Gym from 2-5pm . Contact Michelle Knowlton at 313-8111 or just show up at the HS. We will also have an apparel table set up if your interested.


Saturday March 4th: LAX Season Kickoff Pasta Party, HS cafeteria (previous email and one call said gym in error!) from 5-8pm. If your player is on a HS team use the signup genius to sign up. If your player is a youth player please email Jen at as we need final headcount by Tuesday February 28th to ensure we have enough food :-)


Saturday March 11th: Applebee's Pancake breakfast hosted by your JV/Varsity teams. All HS players have been given tickets to sell. If you need more you can contact me at All ticket money can be handed in to any of the booster club members the night of the meeting on March 2nd. Please share the invite to friends and family extra tickets are available.


We will be opening a online apparel store again this year.... stay tuned we will let you know as soon as it's opened.


Next Booster meeting will be on Tuesday March 14th from 7 to 8:30pm at the Intermediate Library. Please come by.


Monday March 6th HS tryouts begin!!!! Good luck to all...

Boys grades 6-8 on January 22nd from 1-4pm at the High School Gym


Boys grades 3-5 on February 12th from 1-4pm at the Middle School Gym

Fact 1:
Lacrosse is the fastest game to be played on two feet.

Fact 2:
Lacrosse is also one of the fastest growing sport in the United States.

Fact 3:
Native Americans are the ones who invented the game, yet the details about how it was played originally remains a mystery.

Fact 4:
The rules were created in 1794, when a game between the Seneca and Mohawks (tribes) was played.

Fact 5:
The first women's lacrosse game was played in Scotland, 1890.

Fact 6:
In summer of 1763, lacrosse was played by 2 tribes to distract British soldiers, in order to recapture Fort Michilimackinac (upper Michigan).

Fact 7:
Indian lacrosse was often played with big numbers of players; to the point that it reached from 100 to 1000 players.

Fact 8:
The game was originally used to toughen up young men for war, focusing also on the spiritual side.

Fact 9:
In the 1800’s the French started to play lacrosse which tended to “civilize” the game a bit.

Fact 10:
The French, along with the natives were credited for setting the foundations of the game.
